When do you decide you're in a romantic relationship? Is it in the first throes of passion, or does something else have to occur to move it from the 'dating' phase into what's called a relationship?

There are probably as many definitions of a romantic relationship as there are couples. Books, movies and television have shaped our expectations over that past 50 years so that we often have very unrealistic ideas of what constitutes a real lovng relationship. Today there is real confusion between the sexes as to what's acceptable behavior and what isn't.
